Job summary

Havtech in Ashland, VA is launching a Mechanical Sales Engineer-in-Training program designed to develop your sales talent in HVAC. This 12 to 18 month development track offers hands-on learning across equipment pricing, proposals, and project support, with exposure to leading manufacturers and field assignments.

You will build foundational product knowledge, customer service skills, and sales experience while collaborating with Applications Engineering and other Havtech teams to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction, or related fields is a plus.
• Aspires to become a successful Sales Engineer.
• Strong interest in the HVAC industry and related career path.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to function independently and deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Learn about the equipment sales process by creating estimates and proposals for HVAC systems for new construction and renovation projects.
• Learn Morin Hydronic’s manufacturer product lines and products (e.g., BAC, Lakos, Camus, Viessmann) and HVAC system types.
• Learn the construction project management and order fulfillment processes by supporting the Applications Engineering Department.
• Learn the basics in account management by supporting Senior Sales Engineers in the selling process.
• Learn industry processes following a sale, including facility walk-through and evaluation of project needs.
• Demonstrate capabilities in sales process skills, estimating and pricing accuracy, and industry processes.
