Job summary

Air Control Concepts, part of the JMB & Associates family, seeks an HVAC Sales Engineer in Madison, WI to drive commercial HVAC sales and build strong customer relationships. You will interpret plans, prepare cost estimates, and work with engineers and contractors to ensure project success.

Under the President's supervision, you will develop proposals, manage multiple projects, and maintain detailed communications with customers and manufacturers to deliver solutions on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering in mechanical or electrical engineering or similar technical discipline; PE preferred.
• 5 years HVAC experience preferred with degree, or 8 years in industry if no degree.
• Knowledge of MEP Consulting, Architecture, Design, CAD, General/Mechanical Contracting a plus.
• Proven success estimating, selling and marketing HVAC projects to end-users in a competitive market.
• Experience with equipment and systems selections and take-offs from plans/specs.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; pass background check.
• Ability to develop new business and work with outside engineering firms.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial HVAC sales while developing and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of represented products, equipment, and manufacturer partners.
• Partner with customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate HVAC equipment, solutions, and applications.
• Manage sales opportunities and associated projects from initial customer engagement through completion, ensuring timely follow-through.
• Build and strengthen long-term relationships with customers and industry partners.
• Collaborate closely with the team to support customer needs, coordinate projects, and contribute to business growth.
• Manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis.
