Walmart Inc. in Lake Charles, LA is seeking a Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration to install, maintain, and repair systems in commercial and industrial settings. You will interpret schematics, diagnose issues, and lead field teams while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

The role includes on-call rotations, operating company vehicles, and coordinating with vendors. The team focuses on preventive maintenance and continuous improvement to ensure reliable facility operations

Qualifications

HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ related experience for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
Or 4 years’ related mechanical maintenance or construction experience.
EPA Type I/II or Universal refrigerant handling certification required.
Valid state driver’s license and clean MVR; no major violations.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork and control panels.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues in commercial/industrial equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration units, walk‑ins, and HVAC systems.
Inspect for compliance with federal/state/local HVAC/R regulations and safety standards.
Lead and mentor field teams, providing technical guidance and safety coaching.
Manage service calls, coordinate with vendors, and document inventory and work orders.
Operate company vehicles safely within assigned regions.
