Job summary

Nextech is hiring a HVAC/R Technician to diagnose, repair, install, and maintain commercial HVAC/R systems. You’ll use iPads for service documentation, manage tools and a company vehicle, and communicate with customers and dispatch to ensure smooth service delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• EPA certification and a valid driver’s license are required.
• Journeyman license or state licenses may be required in some states.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills essential.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and work plans.
• Comfort with mobile apps and technology.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or holidays when needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC/R systems including electrical, mechanical, and electronic components.
• Perform maintenance and emergency service including after-hours on-call rotations.
• Document service details using company-provided iPads.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and parts inventory to high standards.
• Communicate clearly with customers and dispatch to ensure schedule accuracy.
• Identify additional service opportunities and discuss them with customers.
