Position will be located in the Oklahoma City, OK Metropolitan Area.POSITION SUMMARYThe HVAC/R technician will respond to the company's heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration needs in the OKC Metro. The primary focus will pertain to coolers, freezers, and rooftop units (RTUs). However, other general maintenance, plumbing, and electrical issues will need to be handled as the need arises. The HVAC/R Technician will troubleshoot and make repairs promptly and communicate with store personnel, the Maintenance Supervisor, and other servicemen. This position has an On-Call rotation, approximately one week per month, to provide service during irregular working hours. All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have an excellent driving record.Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Duties may also change to meet the ongoing needs of the business.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform service and preventative maintenance on company equipment including, but not limited to, air conditioning, electric fan motors, heat pumps, compressors, furnaces, intake and exhaust fans, economizers and humidifiers, RTUs, remote condensing units, ice machines, fountain refrigeration equipment, walk-in coolers & freezers, and upright refrigerators & freezersBe able to troubleshoot electrical components and read wiring diagramsMaintain an accurate and organized inventory of partsMaintain a company vehicleMonitor and manage temperature alarms that are provided digitally through email/SMS textParticipate in the on-call rotation that provides service after normal business hours and on weekendsAdhere to the work schedule as posted, unless a change in schedule is arranged with the Maintenance SupervisorAct with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the culture and values of the companyMaintain safety standardsEnsure compliance with safety codesAdheres to all city, county, state, and federal laws and regulations while drivingMaintain a positive working relationship with other team members and members of managementPerforms other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge of repair, maintenance, and installation techniquesKnowledge of and ability to operate basic tools and machineryHVAC certification is required or must be obtainableEPA Universal is requiredExcellent driving recordMaintain active required licenses (ex: Driver’s License)High level of integrity and professionalismAbility to maintain confidentialityDetail oriented with the ability to multi-task effectivelyESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to operate various mechanical toolsAbility to climb laddersAbility to work in outdoor and indoor environments, including travel from location to locationAbility to use hand/power tools, painting tools and materials, and other tools and materials to complete tasksAbility to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 80 poundsAbility to walk, stand and sit for prolonged periods with the ability to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, twist, climb, grasp, and make repetitive hand and arm movements in the performance of daily dutiesContinuous use of eye-hand coordination
