Andrews is hiring a skilled HVAC technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of commercial systems. You will work with RTUs, chillers, and make-up air units, ensuring compliance with safety standards and EPA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license.
• EPA Section 608 certification required for refrigerants.
• 3–5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC service and repair.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and electrical components.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC systems.

What You Will Do

• Work on a diverse range of equipment, including RTU’s, Exhaust, Make up air, Chillers, Captive air units, Aaon, and more
• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC systems
• Troubleshoot issues with compressors, condensers, evaporators, electrical controls, and refrigerant levels.
• Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC equipment
• Follow local, state, and federal regulations regarding refrigerant handling (EPA Section 608 Certification required).
• Adhere to workplace safety standards, including OSHA guidelines, to prevent hazards such as electrical shocks or refrigerant exposure.
• Maintain accurate service records, including work performed, refrigerant usage, and system performance reports.
• Provide professional customer service when interacting with clients and explaining repair needs.
• Recommend system upgrades or preventative maintenance solutions to extend equipment life.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding job progress and technical issues.

What You Need

• Must have valid driver’s license
• Must have insurable driving record
• EPE Section 608 certification for handling refrigerants
• 3-5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC service and repair
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and electrical components
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Ability to lift and carry heavy tools and equipment (50+ lbs.).
• Work in various environments, including cold storage facilities, restaurants, grocery stores, and outdoor locations.
• May require on-call availability, overtime, and travel to job sites in a company-provided vehicle.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with RTU’s, Chiller, Captive air units
• Familiarity with digital controls and remote monitoring systems
