Job summary

DeBra-Kuempel is seeking a skilled HVAC/R Service Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, installation, and repair of heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings.

The ideal candidate will diagnose HVAC/R equipment, read schematics, and use computer-based technology while maintaining safety and customer service standards. This on-site role requires an EPA license or KY Journeyman status and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R mechanic work experience including installation and maintenance.
• Diagnose, maintain, adjust, repair, and replace HVAC systems.
• Able to learn and use computer-based technology for service data.
• Possess competencies to perform duties with safety and compliance.
• Proficient in electrical safety and PPE selection.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heating and cooling equipment per the preventive maintenance program.
• Install and startup HVAC equipment as required.
• Diagnose, repair, and perform scheduled maintenance on HVAC/R systems and components.
• Communicate status, issues, and impacts to customers and the HVAC Service Manager.
• Order replacement parts as needed and document tasks and hours.
• Work with electrical components from disconnect to equipment.
• Document hours, materials used, and servicing in reports.
• Respond to emergency service calls during and outside regular hours.
