Job summary

AAON is seeking an Engineering Technician I to provide entry-level technical support for engineering, testing, manufacturing, and product development activities at our Redmond, OR site. You will assist with equipment setup, product testing, documentation, and assembly under close supervision as you develop HVAC and engineering skills.

You will help with prototype builds, testing, data recording, and maintaining accurate records while adhering to procedures and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with HVAC/tech coursework.
• 0+ years in technical, manufacturing, or engineering support.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup, operation, and maintenance of testing equipment and laboratory systems.
• Support assembly of HVAC components, prototypes, and test fixtures per procedures.
• Record test data accurately and maintain documentation and records.
• Assist engineering staff with product testing, inspections, and validation activities.
• Perform routine measurements and evaluations with basic tools.
• Follow safety, procedures, and quality standards during all activities.
• Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean, organized manner.
• Assist with prototype builds and lab inventory management.
