Job summary

CoolSys in Auburn, WA is seeking an Apprentice (HVAC or Refrigeration) to support installation teams with safe, accurate work and adherence to customer specifications and codes. You’ll assist senior technicians on diverse projects.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or trade training and 1+ year in HVAC, refrigeration, or related fields, plus the ability to use basic hand and power tools. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma, GED, or completion from trade program or technical school.
• 1+ year in construction, refrigeration, HVAC, or related field.
• Experience with basic hand and power tools including drills and electrical meters.
• Knowledge of refrigeration valves/regulators and basic electrical safety.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly; good driving record.
• Willingness to operate scissor lifts or forklifts (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Install equipment per project requirements under supervision of a senior technician.
• Perform work safely with tools, equipment, PPE as directed.
• Escalate safety or quality concerns promptly to on-site leads.
• Keep job sites clean and organized; manage waste materials.
• Assist senior technicians on jobs and follow instructions.
• Install piping including PVC, copper and brazing as required.
