Job summary

CoolSys is seeking a Journeyman 1-HVAC technician to install, repair, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems across diverse environments. You will interpret blueprints, supervise junior techs, and ensure safe, compliant operations while handling tools and equipment in varied settings.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid journeyman license, with 3–5 years of field experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Journeyman license or certification is required.
• 3–5 years of field experience in commercial refrigeration/Electrical/fixtures construction preferred.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools; good mechanical skills.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install heating, cooling, and ventilation systems including ductwork and refrigeration units.
• Perform system start-ups and ensure proper functioning.
• Interpret blueprints with foreman guidance.
• Coordinate labor hours and material costs.
• Guide junior technicians and work with minimal supervision.
