Job summary

Harris is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to provide essential support across HVAC construction projects in the Detroit area. You will help manage standards, budgets, deadlines, and communications, and work closely with the project team to ensure quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or construction management or related field.
• 2+ years in the building & construction industry.
• 2+ years of experience with mechanical systems.
• 2+ years of experience with business administration and management principles.
• Ability to read and comprehend construction documents.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management support during all phases of HVAC construction.
• Perform site walkthroughs and inspections.
• Assist in site safety compliance.
• Review, process, organize, log and distribute contract documents and submittals.
• Attend field coordination meetings and distribute meeting notes.
• Assist in drafting, submitting and tracking RFIs and responses.
• Administer/update progress drawings and as-built drawings.
• Assist in project closeout documentation such as O&M manuals and punch lists.
• Coordinate with suppliers/vendors to estimate projects.
