Job summary

Harris Company in Detroit, MI is seeking a Project Manager I to support HVAC construction projects in the United States. You will oversee safety, document control, scheduling, procurement, cost tracking and client coordination from pre-bid through closeout.

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or engineering is required, with knowledge of construction documents and estimating. This role involves relocation and travel every 24–36 months, working across teams to deliver on-time, on-budget

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or engineering is required.
• Knowledge of the building and construction industry.
• Ability to read and understand construction documents.
• Understanding of mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of business administration and management.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage safety compliance and conduct site inspections.
• Review and distribute contract documents, RFIs, and submittals.
• Develop, update and monitor project schedules.
• Coordinate procurement, rentals and equipment logistics.
• Track costs and prepare status reports for stakeholders.
• Communicate with owners, general contractors and vendors.
