Job summary

Eastern Industrial Services of NY Inc. is seeking an HVAC Project Manager to coordinate commercial and industrial HVAC projects from start to finish.

You will work closely with owners, general contractors, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal field teams to keep projects on schedule and on budget. We welcome experienced Project Managers as well as strong Assistant Project Managers or HVAC professionals ready to advance.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of HVAC project management or related role.
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and mechanical construction.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, schedules and project docs.
• Valid NYS driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Manage HVAC projects from start-up through completion.
• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and schedules.
• Coordinate with owners, general contractors, engineers, subcontractors, vendors and field teams.
• Assist with procurement tracking and delivery coordination.
• Maintain project progress, costs, and change orders.
• Attend meetings and provide updates to clients and leadership.
• Identify issues early and develop solutions with the team.
• Ensure safety and compliance with codes and company standards.
• Handle project closeout, punch lists, and final documentation.

Job description

We're a family-owned mechanical contracting company looking for an HVAC Project Manager to coordinate commercial and industrial HVAC projects from start to finish. You'll work closely with owners, general contractors, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and our internal field teams to keep projects on schedule, on budget, and running smoothly.

We're open to experienced Project Managers as well as strong Assistant Project Managers or HVAC professionals ready to take the next step in their careers.

What You'll Do

• Manage commercial and industrial HVAC projects from start-up through completion
• Review project drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and schedules
• Coordinate with general contractors, owners, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal field teams
• Assist with equipment and material buyouts, procurement tracking, and delivery coordination
• Partner with foremen and field personnel to keep projects moving efficiently
• Track labor, material costs, change orders, billing, and overall project progress
• Attend project meetings and provide clear updates to clients and internal leadership
• Identify project issues early and work with the team to develop solutions
• Ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with project documents, codes, and company standards
• Manage project closeout, including punch lists, O&M manuals, warranty items, and final documentation
• Build and maintain strong client, vendor, and subcontractor relationships

What We're Looking For

• 1+ years of experience in HVAC project management, assistant project management, mechanical contracting, or a related role
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, mechanical piping, sheet metal, equipment installations, and mechanical construction
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, schedules, and project documents
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate with both office and field teams
• Experience with project management software, Microsoft Office, Procore, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred, but not required
• Valid NYS driver's license required
• Able to commute to Bohemia, NY and travel to job sites throughout Long Island and NYC
