Job summary

Quantum North America is seeking an HVAC Estimator to develop accurate cost proposals and define scopes for commercial and industrial projects in the Fort Worth area. The role requires strong HVAC system knowledge, analytical abilities, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include reviewing specs, conducting on-site assessments, preparing detailed cost estimates, and managing bids to secure new business.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years HVAC estimating experience or equivalent.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills to coordinate teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency with estimating and project management software, scheduling tools, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings, and documentation to define scope and estimating requirements.
• Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate existing HVAC systems and gather data for proposals.
• Develop detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Prepare, submit, and manage competitive bid proposals aligned with project specifications and client expectations.
• Identify project sales opportunities and support estimating efforts to help secure new business.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align on needs, timelines, and budget constraints.
• Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor bids to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
• Maintain supplier/subcontractor databases, pricing, and cost history.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and materials for accurate estimates.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and kickoff meetings to support planning and client communication.
• Assist project managers with change management, schedule development, procurement coordination, and cost control.
• Resolve project-related issues to support efficient execution and client satisfaction.
