Job summary

Boland is seeking an HVAC Project Engineer in Gaithersburg, MD. You will support the Design and Construction Sales Team, apply HVAC knowledge, and prepare equipment selections and technical submittals.

Hybrid work with 3 days in person and 4 days during training; in-office presence required during training period. Bachelor's in Engineering and 1–4 years related experience preferred; strong MS Office, CRM, and procore skills encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and construction industry; familiar with blueprints.
• 1–4 years experience in equipment selections and estimation.
• HVAC manufacturers' knowledge and mechanical/equipment controls knowledge preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office and Outlook; CRM experience; strong math skills.
• Experience with Bluebeam software preferred.
• Strong communication and writing skills; self-starter and deadline-oriented.
• Team player; dependable; able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare HVAC equipment and controls pricing estimates.
• Provide technical support for design and construction teams.
• Create equipment selections and manage demand with engineers.
• Prepare submittals: specs, drawings, technical details for approvals.
• Coordinate submittal schedule and project deliverables with schedule.
• Review blueprints for coordination and contract compliance; approve shop drawings.
• Perform quantity take-offs and vendor coordination for pricing.
