Daikin Applied Americas in Jersey City, NJ seeks a Project Engineer to manage customer satisfaction, coordinate with sales and factories, and drive project scope, scheduling, and costs. Responsibilities

• Manage customer satisfaction by ensuring the complete scope is communicated, ordered, and delivered in full.
• Liaise between customer, sales team and equipment factories to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Communicate project timelines, scheduling and required ship dates.
• Analyze changes to project scope and implement them as required.
• Ensure accuracy of project financials from costing to invoicing.
• Assist sales with technical expertise in selection/applications of standard/modified products.
• Create professional submittal documents and monitor approvals to minimize schedule impact.
• Provide prompt responses to sales inquiries regarding special applications, systems or pricing.
• Interface with sales for technical solutions, including Daikin energy analyzer and acoustics software as required.
• Coordinate with Application Engineering and Technical Response Groups for pre- and post-sales support.
• Keep current on new products through training and meetings.
• Process orders per drawings/specifications/scope of work.
• Manage post-sale processes from shipping to warranty issues and project closure.
• Assist with estimating and creating sales proposals from RFP/RFI.

What you will do:

• Manage overall customer satisfaction by ensuring the complete scope of work purchased by the customer is accurately communicated, ordered and delivered in full
• Serve as the liaison between the customer, sales team and equipment factories to troubleshoot and address technical issues and customer questions
• Effectively communicate with the customer to determine project timelines, scheduling and required ship dates
• Analyze customer and engineering requests for changes to the initial project scope of work and implement these changes into the project as required
• Responsible for the accuracy of the project financials from job costing through customer invoicing
• Assist the sales team with technical expertise in the selection/application of standard and/or modified products
• Create professional, technical submittal documents in accordance with the project drawings, specifications and scope of work sold for submission to the customer. Monitor the submittal approval process to minimise impact to the overall project schedule
• Provide prompt, accurate responses to sales inquiries regarding special applications, systems or pricing (Daikin Tools Quotations)
• Interface with sales team for technical solutions, including use of Daikin energy analyzer and acoustics software as required
• Coordinate with Application Engineering and Technical Response Groups efforts to provide pre- and post-sales support
• Keep current on new products by attending technical training and sales meetings
• Process and execute orders in compliance with the project drawings, specifications and scope of work sold
• Manage the post-sale process from shipping, start-up request and warranty issues through project close out
• May assist with estimating of projects and creating professional, high-grade sales proposals from RFP/RFI from clients for Daikin Applied

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, technical, or scientific field
• 3+ years related work experience
• Experience in HVAC preferred

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $74,500.00 - 120,600.00 USD Annual in New York and New Jersey. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, this position is eligible for a sales incentive plan.
