Job description

Daikin Applied is seeking a Project Engineer III. The role involves collaborating with customers, sales teams, and engineering groups to deliver HVAC projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Location: Tampa, FL - In-Office

Your Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall customer satisfaction by ensuring the complete scope of work purchased by the customer is accurately communicated, ordered, and delivered in full
• Ensure limits of authority are followed throughout the fulfillment process
• Serve as the liaison between the customer, sales team, and equipment factories to troubleshoot and address technical issues and customer questions
• Effectively communicate with the customer to determine project timelines, scheduling, and required ship dates
• Responsible for the accuracy of the project financials from job costing through customer invoicing
• Assist the sales team with technical expertise in the selection/application of standard and/or modified products
• Create professional, technical submittal documents in accordance with the project drawings, specifications, and scope of work sold for submission to the customer
• Monitor the submittal approval process to minimize impact to the overall project schedule
• Provide prompt, accurate responses to sales inquiries regarding special applications, systems, or pricing (Daikin Applied Tools Quotations)
• Interface with sales team for technical solutions, including use of Daikin energy analyzer and acoustics software, as required
• Partner with sales leader to measure, analyze, and update progress on department financial goals and recommend improvements
• Coordinate with Application Engineering and Technical Response Groups efforts to provide pre‑ and post‑sales support
• Process and execute orders in compliance with the project drawings, specifications, and scope of work sold
• Manage the post‑sale process from shipping, start‑up requests, and warranty issues through project closeout

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience in engineering projects
• 7+ years of directed related HVAC experience (Preferred)
• Project Engineering License
• Previous Commercial HVAC experience
• Excellent initiative and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organization, problem‑solving, and customer service skills

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $90,400 to $151,800 plus annual bonus in Florida. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
