Job summary

Daikin Applied is seeking a Project Developer for our Tampa office. This hybrid role supports turnkey acquisition from concept development through turnover to Service Operations, coordinating scope, estimates, schedules, and subcontractors to meet customer goals.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering (or related field) and 8+ years in mechanical contracting with HVAC systems/design experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
8+ years of progressive experience in mechanical contracting.
Mechanical systems layout and design experience.
HVAC systems and controls experience.

Responsibilities

Develop all aspects of the scope, project development schedule, and costs for the customer proposal.
Work with sales team, customers, and project manager to help scope, estimate, and sell the project.
Create, analyze, and negotiate sub-contractor proposals to ensure all customer contract proposal aspects will be met.
Consult with project management staff to outline work plan and delegate duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
Review and analyze status reports and modify schedules or plans as required.
Create cost estimates for HVAC piping and sheet metal improvements.
Create project scheduling using MS Project, MS Excel, or other tools.
Balance and manage multiple projects in development with multiple sub-contractors and complete project development within initial scope, schedule, and budget.
Develop and maintain subcontracting partner relationships.
