Job summary

Daikin Applied in Tampa, FL is seeking a Project Engineer II to lead engineering projects and ensure customer satisfaction from scope to delivery. You will act as liaison between the customer, sales team, and factories, coordinating timelines and ship dates while ensuring financial accuracy from costing to invoicing.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, 2–4+ years in projects, and preferably an EIT/PE license with prior commercial HVAC experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 2–4+ years of experience in engineering projects.
• EIT or PE license (preferred).
• Previous Commercial HVAC experience.
• Excellent initiative and interpersonal communications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering the full scope of work.
• Coordinate with customer, sales, and factories on technical issues.
• Communicate project timelines and ship dates.
• Manage project financials from job costing to invoicing.
• Prepare professional submittal documents per drawings and specs.
• Support sales with technical expertise in standard/modified products.
• Assist with pre- and post-sales support with Engineering groups.
• Oversee orders, shipping, start-up requests, and warranty issues through close-out.
