Job summary

Laars Heating Systems in Rochester, NH is seeking an experienced professional to join its Product Support Team to provide technical product support for contractors, manufacturers' representatives, homeowners and other Laars related customers.

The role focuses on documenting and troubleshooting across plumbing, electrical, gas, and venting systems, interpreting drawings and engineering specs, and supporting field service activities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience with HVAC systems, equipment, design, applications and service
• Strong customer service focus
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office
• Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical and architectural drawings
• Ability to interpret engineering specifications and design
• Proficient computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CAD
• Knowledge and Understanding of Boiler and Water Heater Sequencing, Building Management Systems and Building Automation Systems including BACNet, Lon Works, Modbus and their protocols

Responsibilities

• Provide documentation and technical support for our products including plumbing, electrical, gas, venting and troubleshooting
• Participate and support the creation of all technical service procedures and bulletin documentation
• Provide parts identification for the Laars products
• Attend field job sites for product support as required
• Attend job related courses to update product knowledge and skills
• Communicate field feedback to the sales, service and engineering groups
• Participate in Laars–sponsored educational training seminars
• Act as a liaison between technical support and engineering as new troubleshooting requirements become necessary.
• Participate in new product development process by attending product and service review meetingsPerform other related duties as assigned
