Job summary

KCC Companies is seeking an HVAC Product Engineer to drive innovative design across legacy and next-generation product portfolios. The role blends deep HVAC engineering with hands-on testing and cross-functional teamwork with Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Purchasing to bring high-quality equipment from concept to production.

The candidate will lead design efforts, support product lifecycles, and develop solutions that balance performance, feasibility, and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn new engineering software.
• Demonstrates problem solving with a solid understanding of mechanical and HVAC engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead Product Design: Drive the design, analysis, and optimization of commercial HVAC systems and components, ensuring high performance, reliability and manufacturability.
• Champion Product Support: Partner with Production, Sales, Applications, and Field Support teams to troubleshoot issues and support the full product lifecycle.
• Develop Innovative Solutions: Take ownership of high-priority engineering projects, conduct testing and root-cause analysis, and implement design improvements.
• Engineer-to-Order Expertise: Evaluate custom customer requests and craft tailored engineering solutions balancing innovation, feasibility, and cost.
• Collaborate with Suppliers: Work with vendors to engineer new components, explore alternative materials, and enhance design quality.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to products, processes, and systems to improve performance and reliability.
• Ensure Regulatory Excellence: Analyze test data and apply changes to maintain compliance with standards.
• Create Clear Documentation: Develop accurate, customer-friendly product documentation and materials.
• Deliver Accurate Technical Guidance: Provide precise engineering information to internal teams and external partners.
• Invest in Ongoing Learning: Stay current with industry standards (ASHRAE, AHRI, ANSI) and HVAC technologies.

• Prior experience in product testing, development, or evaluation environments.
• Experience collaborating withcrossfunctionalengineering or manufacturing teams.
