Qualifications

This role requires a creative problem-solver with a strong engineering foundation to evaluate, refine, and implementnew ideas, designs, processes, controls, and components. Contribute to KCC's leadership in the HVAC industry by challenging norms, exploring uncharted territory, and bringing groundbreaking concepts to life, expanding our capabilities and market reach.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze novel and applicable technologies in the HVAC market.
• Develop processes for evaluating and implementingnew ideaswithin the organization.
• Pursue innovative concepts that lead to patents and technological advancements.
• Create and deliver training materials on HVAC-related topics.
• Research and secure funding and grant opportunities from industry associations.
• Design, build, and conduct tests tovalidate new technologiesand ideas.
• Collaborate with New Product Development (NPD) and Product Engineering (PE) teams.
• Engage with HVAC industry associations to influence code changes and technology adoption.
• Useyour engineering foundation to conduct sound, engineering focused evaluations oftechnology and capture your technical evaluations in reports and presentations

Required Qualifications

• Strong technical aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or higher.
• 5+ years of relevant HVAC experience.
• Experience in project scheduling and management.

Desired Qualifications

• Proficiencyin SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
