Job summary

LG Electronics is seeking a Product Development Engineer II for its HVAC R&D Center in Alpharetta, GA. You will develop expertise in HVAC equipment manufacturing and development, performing research and analytics to create value for customers.

The role focuses on improving product performance, data-driven decisions, and collaboration with labs and engineering teams to ensure US market readiness post-launch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 1+ years of experience in related field.
• HVAC experience is preferred.
• Exposure to manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently.
• Experience with CSA, UL, or DOE is a plus.
• Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills.
• 3D CAD knowledge with GD&T interpretation.
• Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel with macros.

Responsibilities

• Provide HVAC Engineering insight and improvement for new product development.
• Screen, analyze, and support HVAC product performance and recommend next steps.
• Statistically evaluate and interpret collected product data.
• Support data from field testing using statistical methods.
• Review design shortcomings and identify improvement points.
• Coordinate with HVAC R&D and labs for US usage-based statistics.
• Support acquisition hardware/software to create lab models.
• Assist in preparing service, installation and engineering manuals for US launch.
