Job summary

LG Electronics is seeking a Product Development Engineer in Alpharetta, GA to advance HVAC product development. You will join an R&D team developing LGE HVAC equipment, working with the Korea team on ODM activities and domestic engineering tasks.

You will leverage 5+ years of HVAC experience to support new product introductions, analyze performance data, and ensure robust designs for US commercialization. The role offers strong growth in a global HVAC portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience HVAC, water heating, and/or unitary products.
• Experience with VRF, Acoil, AHU, FCU, Chiller is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of vapor compression and heat transfer principles related to HVAC system.
• Experience in design and development of evaporators, condensing units, and/or heat exchangers for residential and commercial applications.
• Exposure to a variety of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability.
• Ability to multi-task and operate independently.
• 3D CAD software knowledge with GD&T interpretation.
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

• New LG NPI Product Development Support.
• Work cross-functionally with sales, manufacturing and program managers to ensure on-time product launches.
• Evaluate go-to-market strategy and review technical documents for proper launch toward North America (US/Canada).
• Collaborate with project team to ensure sound engineering principles in product design and benchmark against competitors.
• Provide engineering insight and improvement solutions for new product development.
• Screen and analyze new product performance and provide next steps.
