Job summary

LG Electronics USA is seeking a Product Development Engineer to join our Alpharetta, GA R&D Center. You will develop expertise in the manufacturing and development of LG HVAC equipment, conducting research based on analytical thinking and market understanding.

You will work with the US team and Korea to support ODM activities, design HVAC accessories, and contribute to product portfolio growth for NA markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of HVAC, water heating, and/or unitary products experience.
• Experience with VRF, Acoil, AHU, FCU, Chiller preferred.
• Knowledge of vapor compression and heat transfer for HVAC systems.
• Experience with manufacturability and design for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support new LG HVAC product development initiatives.
• Collaborate with sales, manufacturing and program managers to meet launches on time.
• Assess go-to-market strategy and review technical documents for NA market launches.
• Ensure sound engineering principles and benchmark against competitors for improvements.
• Provide engineering insight and improvement solutions for new products.
• Analyze product performance data and recommend next steps.
• Review and analyze field testing data using statistical methods.
• Assist in preparing service, installation, and engineering manuals for US commercialization.
