Job summary

PACCAR/Kenworth is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop cabin climate and HVAC systems for production, using Creo Parametric for complex assemblies and drawings. You will prototype concepts, apply Six Sigma tools, and drive design validation with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 3-5 years of design experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BSME degree required; EIT certification is a plus.
• 3-5 years of design experience (internship experience acceptable).
• Extensive 3D modeling experience; Creo is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops production designs of Cabin Climate and HVAC systems.
• Use Creo Parametric to create complex assemblies and drawings.
• Create rapid prototyped parts to validate design concepts.
• Apply Design for Six Sigma and engineering tools (QFD, FMEA, DVP&R, GD&T, FEA).
• Track project schedule, budget, and requirements through lifecycle.
• Coordinate with PACCAR Technical Center and external groups.
• Collaborate with PACCAR divisions and suppliers.
• Manage multiple priorities; travel up to 5-10%.
