Job summary

PACCAR's Kenworth Truck Company seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to drive product development for cabin climate and HVAC systems. You will model with Creo Parametric, develop production designs, and prototype concepts for validation on the production floor.

Ideal candidates bring a BS in engineering, 3–5 years of design experience, and a passion for human-centered design. Expect collaboration across departments and travel up to 5–10% in support of program goals.

Qualifications

• BSME or equivalent engineering degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Develops production designs of Cabin Climate and HVAC systems.
• Utilize Creo Parametric to create complex assemblies and drawings.
• Create rapid prototyped parts to validate design concepts.
• Apply Six Sigma tools to validate designs (QFD, FMEA, DVP&R, GD&T, FEA).
• Manage implementation of product changes including project schedule and budget.
• Collaborate with PACCAR Technical Center and external orgs to validate designs.
• Work with multiple PACCAR divisions and suppliers across engineering, manufacturing and quality.
