Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Pre Sales Field Engineer in Smyrna, GA to perform on-site surveys, assess mechanical equipment, and prepare project design deliverables for pre-sales activity. You will collaborate with COE engineers, branches, subcontractors, and operations teams to ensure well-informed, standardized proposals delivered on time.

Ideal candidates have HVAC field or sales experience, CAD skills, and proficiency with Salesforce, SharePoint, and Office 365.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5 years of HVAC field experience or 8+ years in HVAC sales.
• Experience with IP networking concepts.
• Experience with CAD software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site surveys and assessments of mechanical equipment and control systems for pre-sales.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for bid quotes and pricing.
• Prepare COE survey documentation using Salesforce, Office 365 and SharePoint.
• Review project costing with local installation/operations management before handoff to sales.
• Produce site survey forms and floorplan drawings aligned with standardized processes.
