CyberCoders is seeking an experienced HVAC & Plumbing Estimator to join its Nashville team. This role focuses on preparing accurate cost estimates and bid proposals for commercial and industrial mechanical projects, collaborating with operations, PM, vendors, and subs.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of estimating in HVAC, plumbing or MEP, can read drawings, and develop labor, material and subcontractor costs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience in HVAC, plumbing, mechanical or MEP construction.
• Experience preparing takeoffs and detailed cost estimates.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and related mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specs, and bid documents.
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs for HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Prepare competitive bids, budgets, and proposals.
• Assist with value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
• Participate in scope reviews, bid meetings, and handoff meetings.
• Coordinate with project management and operations during preconstruction.

Position Overview

The HVAC & Plumbing Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and bid proposals for commercial and industrial mechanical construction projects. This role will work closely with operations, project management, vendors, and subcontractors to support successful project pursuits and preconstruction efforts.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs for HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
