Job summary

Ray and Son Heating and Air Conditioning is seeking an experienced HVAC Estimator to lead commercial projects including new construction, renovations, and design-builds from $1M to $10M. Projects include hotels, K-12 schools, and other commercial facilities across Nashville, Valdosta and surrounding areas.

You will perform takeoffs for HVAC, ductwork, piping and plumbing, assemble proposals, and review quotes. 5+ years in estimation and a mechanical engineering degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC project estimation.
• Mechanical Engineer degree desired.
• Ability to perform material and labor takeoffs to identify material quantities, labor hours, and cost.
• Competitive trade bids comparison experience.
• Attention to detail when analyzing blueprints to prepare accurate specific takeoffs.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) as conversions.
• Excellent knowledge of Electronic Takeoff Systems (AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Builder Trend, etc.).
• Ability to work independently and know when to consult other members of the team.
• Excellent communication skills (written/verbal).
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.

We Are Looking For An Experienced HVAC Estimator

This position will be Estimating Commercial HVAC New Construction and Renovation Installations, as well as Design-Build projects from $1 Million - $10Million. Example of some of our projects: hotels / hospitality, K-12 Schools and higher learning, and other commercial / light commercial buildings.

Position: HVAC Estimator - Experienced

Pay Range: $100,000 to $130,000 per year, depending on experience and credentials

Pay Type: Salary / Exempt

Work Hours: Full Time

Location: Valdosta & Nashville GA
