CyberCoders in Fountain Valley, CA is seeking an experienced HVAC & Plumbing Estimator to join its growing team on commercial and industrial projects. You will prepare cost estimates and bid proposals for mechanical systems, coordinating with operations and vendors.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of estimating in HVAC or MEP, reads drawings, develops labor and material costs, and supports value engineering. This onsite role offers full benefits and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience within HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, or MEP construction.
• Experience preparing takeoffs and detailed cost estimates.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and related mechanical systems.
• Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs for HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Prepare competitive bids, budgets, and proposals.
• Assist with value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
• Participate in scope reviews, bid meetings, and project handoff meetings.
• Coordinate with project management and operations teams throughout the preconstruction process.
• Maintain estimating records and historical cost data.

Position Overview

The HVAC & Plumbing Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and bid proposals for commercial and industrial mechanical construction projects.
