Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company in Wisconsin is seeking a skilled plumber/HVAC technician to assemble, install, repair and maintain plumbing systems for HVAC units. You’ll read blueprints, measure layouts, and ensure water supply and drainage configurations meet specs.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 lbs without assistance.
• Ability to stand for a minimum of 2-3 hours.
• Ability to reach over shoulders/head.
• Ability to bend at waist and knees.
• Ability to twist at shoulders/waist.
• Familiar with tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, repair and maintain industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
• Read blueprints, drawings and work order specifications to determine the layout of the plumbing system such as water supply networks and waste and drainage system of the HVAC unit.
• Ensure precise measurements, cuttings, bending and threading of copper or PVC pipe using hand and power tools.
• Join and secure tubes, pipes, couplings and fittings through the use of cement, soldering and brazing.
• Test plumbing system for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
• Work with the Production Lead to meet the standard operation procedures.
• Measure and mark guidelines for proper HVAC unit parts installation.
• Ensure safety and quality measures are followed.
• Other duties as assigned by a member of management
