The Programmer Engineer will design, develop, and implement PLC-based control systems for custom equipment and field projects, coordinating with engineering, fabrication, and site teams to meet project specs and safety standards. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, 8–10 years in HVAC or industrial

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 8–10 years in HVAC, manufacturing, or industrial controls.
  • Strong PLC programming experience (Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley).
  • Experience with HVAC controls and sequences of operation.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Knowledge of NEC and ASHRAE guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, program, and test PLC-based control systems for HVAC equipment.
  • Create PLC programs from concept to commissioning.
  • Support FAT/SAT, system start-up and troubleshooting.
  • Debug, modify PLC programs for existing systems.
  • Design and document HVAC sequences of operation.
  • Prepare BOMs for controls and electrical systems.
