Job summary

Custom Air Products & Services, Inc. (CAPS) is a Houston-based HVAC company seeking a Manufacturing Project Manager to lead planning, coordination, and execution of custom HVAC projects from initiation to completion.

The role drives on-time delivery, budget alignment, and adherence to customer specs while working with engineering, production, and leadership teams to maintain high quality and performance. This position requires strong PM skills and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering, Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in HVAC, fabrication, or manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency with MS Project or similar scheduling tools.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of custom HVAC fabrication and assembly projects.
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and deliverables with leadership.
• Identify project tasks, milestones, and resource requirements.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using MS Project or similar tools.
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and deliverables.
• Track and manage project budgets to ensure cost control and financial accountability.
• Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage project changes to align with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Conduct project evaluations and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide direction and coordination to cross-functional teams including engineering, fabrication, and assembly.
• Delegate tasks effectively and maintain accountability across the team.
• Foster collaboration and ensure clear communication among stakeholders.
