Job summary

Johnson Barrow is seeking an Outside Sales Engineer to drive growth in the Pacific Northwest. You will apply HVAC product knowledge, build relationships with engineers, contractors, and owners, and manage sales processes from pre-sale to post-sale support.

The role emphasizes technical design input, proposal development, and delivering high-quality customer service while meeting annual sales targets. Base salary is strong with commission after year one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Three years direct selling, marketing, or designing HVAC products.
• Three years business development and relationship management in HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with owners, engineers, contractors, and end-users.
• Identify and develop opportunities with new and existing customers using HVAC knowledge.
• Drive annual sales growth and secure long-term opportunities in the Northwest.
• Provide technical expertise on system design, product selection, and specifications.
• Prepare detailed sales proposals, estimates, and take-offs.
