Job summary

The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is seeking an Intermediate or Senior HVAC Operator to manage and maintain facility HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing systems. The role reports to Facilities Plant Operations Supervisor and requires 2nd shift hours (2pm–10pm) with rotating weekends.

Qualifications include 3–5+ years (Intermediate) or 5–9+ years (Senior) of HVAC experience and a high school diploma; preferred are journeyman certifications and knowledge of DDC/electrical controls.

Qualifications

• HVAC experience: 3–5+ years (Intermediate) or 5–9+ years (Senior).
• High school diploma required.
• Journeyman certification in HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, testing, and monitoring of systems; identify/crompt repairs.
• Ensure proper operation via preventive/urgent maintenance.
• Maintain logs on boilers/chillers for inspections.
• Assist other departments as designated.
