Big Horn Heating & Cooling is seeking an HVAC New Construction Apprentice in Missouri to support installation on residential and commercial projects. This entry-level role provides hands-on training under experienced installers, helping you develop technical skills and safety awareness.

You will learn ductwork, piping, equipment placement, and system start-ups while following blueprints and installation plans. This on-site role emphasizes teamwork, quality, and adherence to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Enrollment in HVAC trade or technical school preferred.
No prior experience required; willingness to learn is essential.

Responsibilities

Assist skilled HVAC installers with ductwork, piping, equipment placement, and system assembly on new construction sites.
Learn to read blueprints, schematics, and installation plans for proper system layout.
Handle tools, materials, and equipment safely and efficiently.
Support installation teams in setting up and connecting HVAC systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
Observe and participate in system start-ups, testing, and quality inspections.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites at all times.
Follow all company safety policies, OSHA standards, and manufacturer installation guidelines.
Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment at job sites.
Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition.
Attend training sessions, safety meetings, and mentoring programs.
Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with other trades or clients.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
