Job summary

Big Horn Heating and Cooling is seeking an Install Technician Apprentice in Worland, WY. This entry‑level role supports the installation team, gaining hands‑on training in HVAC systems on residential and commercial projects.

You will learn to read blueprints, use common tools safely, and perform basic installation tasks under supervision, with mentorship and opportunities to advance to a full installer role within the company culture of growth and safety.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Enrollment in or completion of technical school or trade program preferred.
No prior installation experience required; willingness to learn is essential.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
OSHA safety training or basic certification preferred.
Basic math and measurement skills; ability to read simple technical instructions.

Responsibilities

Assist experienced installers with residential and commercial system installations.
Learn to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and installation instructions.
Handle materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
Perform basic assembly, installation, and alignment tasks under supervision.
Observe and assist with system start-ups, testing, and calibration.
Maintain clean and safe job sites.
Follow all company safety policies and manufacturer installation guidelines.
Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment.
Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in good condition.
Participate in training sessions, safety meetings, and on‑the‑job mentoring.
Provide excellent customer service and professionalism on job sites.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
