Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer 2 to design components and assemblies for prototype HVAC products, refine existing designs, and deliver production-ready drawings within schedule.

You will collaborate across teams, perform feasibility testing, and lead design reviews while ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards. A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and CAD/CAM/MATLAB expertise are required, with PE license a plus.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong CAD/CAM experience with MATLAB/LabVIEW; Inventor proficiency.
• Excellent mechanical, mathematical and technical reasoning.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and product coding.
• English/Spanish bilingual ability is a plus.
• HVAC systems design experience and production-ready drawings are preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Creates working parameters and specifications for new or improved products.
• Assists during prototyping and production; performs follow-up engineering.
• Ensures designs meet safety, quality, performance and reliability requirements.
• Leads engineering projects and coordinates with design and production.
• Produces prototypes meeting sales, marketing, manufacturing needs.
• Performs feasibility testing and vendor/consultant coordination.
• Reviews design to ensure compliance with codes and specifications.
• Collaborates with manufacturing and technical support to implement changes.
• Reviews product documentation for completeness and accuracy.
