Job summary

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. in Rogers, AR is seeking a Mechanical (HVAC) Design Intern to join our team. You will be introduced to mechanical design for commercial, government, and industrial projects and learn to develop construction documents.

Under supervision, you will design systems, review codes, produce drawings, and collaborate with engineers and project managers. Ideal candidates are enrolled in ABET-accredited programs in mechanical or architectural engineering and have introductory

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Enrolled in ABET-accredited degree program in mechanical or architectural engineering
Interest in MEP design as a future career path
Introductory study or knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT, TraneTrace, and/or eQuest modeling software
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Must be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities

Lead under supervision and follow established procedures.
Interact with multiple departments and peers in intern program learning.
Design mechanical systems meeting current code requirements and sound engineering principles.
Communicate effectively with engineers, project manager, and clients as needed.
Conduct field observation visits to document existing conditions.
Produce construction documents within milestone schedules under supervision.
Review project-related clerical items (shop drawings, RFIs, change orders).
Learn and review codes applicable to the discipline.
