Job summary

Bowman in Rogers, AR is seeking a Mechanical (HVAC) Design Intern to gain hands-on experience across commercial, government, academic, and industrial projects. You will assist in developing construction documents under close supervision and learn current codes with guidance from a senior engineer and project manager.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in ABET-accredited programs in mechanical or architectural engineering, with introductory knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT, TraneTrace, or eQuest, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent commensurate experience.
• Enrolled in ABET-accredited degree program, preferably in a mechanical or architectural engineering program of study.
• Interest in MEP design as a future career path.
• Introductory study or knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT, TraneTrace, and/or eQuest modeling software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Design appropriate mechanical systems in accordance with current code requirements and sound engineering principles.
• Communicate effectively with engineers, project manager, and occasionally the client.
• Conduct field observations visits to accurately document the existing field conditions.
• Accurately produce the project construction documents to meet milestone schedules within a predetermined hourly budget under direction of a senior engineer and project manager.
• If directed, review all project related construction administrative items (shop drawings, RFI's, change order proposals).
• Review and learn codes applicable to the discipline.
