Job summary

Kelso Industries’ NDBS division seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to drive HVAC design from concept through construction drawings. You’ll perform load calculations, develop duct and piping layouts, and coordinate with field teams to meet schedules and budgets.

You will use Revit for design delivery, apply code requirements, and collaborate with the engineering and operations teams. Remote optional, with travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience in HVAC/R industry.
• Strong time management and leadership skills.
• Healthcare design experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform load calculations for projects.
• Design layouts of equipment, duct and piping systems.
• Develop HVAC design from concept to construction drawings using Revit.
• Application engineering including sequence of operations, load calculations, psychrometrics, and refrigeration.
• Engages in field engineering, assisting with project execution and document management.
• Understand code requirements and ensure compliance.
