Job summary

Kelso Industries’ National Design Build Services (NDBS) is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the mechanical design on data centers, mission-critical facilities and large industrial plants. You will own day‑to‑day design, run calculations, select equipment and develop drawings and models while coordinating with multiple disciplines.

This role also involves mentoring Design Engineers toward Lead Engineer positions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; mechanical preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of HVAC/R design experience; data center, mission-critical or industrial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop the mechanical design on assigned projects from basis of design through IFC drawings.
• Perform heat load, hydraulic, psychrometric and piping sizing calculations and select equipment.
• Prepare drawings, schedules, details and Revit models; run Navisworks clash detection.
• Coordinate with plumbing, structural, electrical, civil and controls designers; mentor junior engineers.
• Draft sequences of operation and support controls partners on PLC logic and BMS.
• Track deliverables, hours and review comments; report status to Lead Engineer.
