Job summary

Johnson Controls Inc is looking for forward-thinking talent to join our growing organization as HVAC service apprentices. You will be trained on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites, with STA certification available to build skills and opportunities for advancement.

You will learn through coaching and mentorship, gain practical field experience, and contribute to efficient building operations while aligning with a union-supported training path.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of industry experience or experience servicing mechanical HVAC systems.
• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Preferred 1-2 years of trade school or college in a technical emphasis.

Responsibilities

• Apprentices will be trained and will perform HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites.
• Participate in certified training through Service Technical Academy to develop skill sets.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure the facility runs efficiently including upselling opportunities.
• Keep Johnson Controls, contractors, and the customer advised of job progress and issues as needed.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
