City and County of Denver seeks an HVAC Mechanic I to operate, maintain and repair building systems across Public Safety facilities. The role emphasizes troubleshooting across large facilities and working with Building Automation Systems (BAS).

Qualifications

• Proficient with Building Automation Systems/Direct Digital Control Systems (DDC).
• Competency with computers and business applications is highly desirable.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are crucial for working with tenants and agencies.

Responsabilités

• Operates, maintains, and repairs facility systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Uses automated control systems to manage building systems and perform daily operations and preventive maintenance.
• Inspects equipment and building systems to identify unsafe or malfunctioning conditions.
• Assists with installation and modification of building equipment systems.
• Oversees or performs repair, testing, and troubleshooting of building equipment systems.
• Evaluates and recommends equipment and service upgrades.
• Coordinates maintenance with outside contractors and technicians for contracted work.
• Orders parts and supplies and maintains stock and inventory control.
• Maintains records, prepares reports, and estimates materials, labor, and costs.
• Observes all safety practices and performs snow removal duties.
• Previous experience with automated work order systems is a plus.
