Job summary

The University of Colorado Denver's Facilities Management Department seeks a Pipe/Mechanical Trades I for on-site, full-time work to support 24/7 campus operations in Denver. You will perform routine and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and utility systems, log activities in CMMS, and monitor BAS to ensure safe, efficient operations.

This day shift runs Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Qualifications

At least two years of progressively responsible experience in building maintenance or facilities operations.
Hands-on experience performing minor repairs and preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems.
Substitution: completion of a formal apprenticeship in plumbing, pipefitting, steam fitting, or HVAC may substitute for required experience.

Responsibilities

Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and utility systems.
Troubleshoot and repair building equipment, appliances, and finishes to ensure safe operations.
Conduct routine inspections of mechanical rooms, equipment, and systems.
Monitor and adjust BAS for comfort, energy efficiency, and protection of equipment.
Assist journey-level technicians and contractors by preparing work areas and coordinating tasks.
Respond to service requests and work orders using CMMS.
