Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc is seeking Apprentices to gain hands-on HVAC knowledge by working on client sites and receiving formal training through the Service Technical Academy (STA). You will build skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues while developing professional customer service abilities.

As a member of the team, you’ll follow union guidelines, participate in required trainings, and pursue advancement opportunities within a collaborative, results-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of industry experience servicing mechanical HVAC systems.
• Member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Safety-first mindset and ability to work in a union environment.

Responsibilities

• Apprentices will be trained and will perform on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites.
• Participate in certified training through Service Technical Academy to build skills and opportunities for advancement.
• Develop troubleshooting skills for technical issues and customer needs through coaching and mentorship.
• Provide updates on job progress to JCI, contractors, and customers as needed.
• Meet attendance requirements for required Union training in year one.
