Job summary

Johnson Controls Inc is actively seeking Apprentices to join our growing field service team. You will work on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls at client sites, with structured training through Service Technical Academy to build skills for advancement.

Through coaching and mentorship you will learn to troubleshoot and resolve both technical issues and customer needs, while meeting union training requirements in the first year and advancing within a supportive, safety‑mocused environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of industry experience or servicing mechanical HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management, site preparation and servicing techniques.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry.
• Preferred 1-2 years of trade school or college in a technical emphasis.

Responsibilities

• Apprentices will be trained and perform on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites.
• Participate in certified training through Service Technical Academy to build skills and opportunities.
• Develop troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for technical issues and customer needs.
• Keep Johnson Controls, contractors, and customers informed of job progress and issues.
• Meet attendance requirements for required Union training in the first year.
• Provide recommendations and quotes to improve facility efficiency.
