Malace|HR is seeking an experienced HVAC Mobile Maintenance Mechanic in the Knoxville area. The role will be working 1st shift hours and pays $32-33 per hour. The HVAC Maintenance Mechanic supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities. Assists in maintenance and repair efforts, as well as independently performs defined tasks. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc.

Job Responsibilities

1. Maintenance

• Perform ongoing preventive and repair work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other systems and components.
• Maintain, operate, and repair HVAC systems, electrical distribution, plumbing, interior/exterior building repairs, and related grounds and equipment.
• Conduct facility inspections and report conditions affecting client occupancy and operations.
• Perform general interior maintenance such as hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, repairing office furniture, and doors.
• Move office furniture, machinery, and equipment as needed.
• Replace lighting and ballasts.
• Clean HVAC coils, change filters and belts.
• Perform other assigned tasks.

Safety

• Complete hazard assessments as necessary.
• Follow all safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping, and recognize hazards.
• Ensure compliance with relevant ordinances, codes, and laws.
• Complete scheduled safety trainings.
• Practice defensive driving at all times.
• Follow policies for hazardous materials handling.

Driving

• Possess and maintain a valid state driver's license (if mobile).

Administrative

• Submit P-card receipts daily.
• Update work order status in real time.
• Use CMMS systems such as 360 Facility for all work performed.
• Perform vehicle safety inspections.
• Escalate problems or issues promptly.
• Attend work and safety meetings as required.

Other

• Perform any other duties and tasks as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3rd Party Certification.

Physical Work Requirements and Conditions

• Lifting up to 80 lbs.
• Working from heights.
• Climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working overhead frequently.
• Working in extreme cold or hot conditions.
• Driving for long periods.
• Climbing ladders up to 30 feet.
