Job summary

Ardent Health Services is seeking a day shift, full-time HVAC Mechanic in Harker Heights, TX to maintain and repair hospital HVAC, ventilation, and refrigeration systems. You will ensure reliable climate control and IAQ to support patient care and facility operations.

The role requires 3+ years of HVAC experience in healthcare or commercial settings, EPA 608 certification, and knowledge of BAS and electrical/mechanical components. Hospital environment experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years’ experience in HVAC maintenance and repair in a commercial or healthcare environment.
• EPA 608 Certification.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical and mechanical components, and Building Automation Systems (BAS).

Responsibilities

• Maintains, repairs, and operates HVAC, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in a hospital environment.
• Ensures proper indoor air quality, temperature control, and system reliability to support patient care and facility operations.
• Follows safety standards, infection control protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Supports preventive maintenance programs and responds to service needs in a timely manner.
• Contributes to a safe, efficient, and reliable healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• The HVAC Mechanic performs maintenance, repair, and operation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems within a hospital environment.

• HVAC Journeyman license or equivalent credential.
